A rolling girl is always on the run
She runs ahead to be someone
Someone new, a new person of her own
Always running ahead, always running
alone
“It’s no big deal”, that’s always what
she said
That “her” isn’t real, it’s all within
her head
Failed again, lost once more
Without fail it always just seems to end
badly.
This cycle repeats again
Once again, one more time
Keep on moving forward while you seek
what you look for
She repeats, she reminds
Though the words don’t have any meaning
to her anymore
“Is that all?” “It’s not over yet”
There’s just too much ahead for me to
give up
I still say that this is not enough
The lonely girl’s a shadow of herself.
Unable to believe someone else
What she wants still conflicts within her
mind.
What voices does she hear?
What answers will she find?
“No big deal” she says to herself now
“I’m sure it will all work out somehow”
Even though she knows for sure that
she has everything in her hands that this
task takes
Even still she makes mistakes
“One more time, please once more
I know I can roll on to what I have been
searching for”
She says here, without fear
Repeating to herself the meaning she
holds dear
“Ready yet?” “Just a little more”
We might be able to see something new
soon
If we wait and see what’s now in store
Repeat once, repeat twice
“I will now roll forth today and just
seize it”
She will heed that advice
Playing with words that will elicit a
smile
“Ready yet? “Yes, of course”
You were just as tired as me with this
cycle
