The weather yesterday was fine, today we
watched clouds as they passed by
It’s weather for a lazy day that makes
you close your eyes, as they say
It’s hard to recall what occurred, the recollection
has been blurred
And we have gotten older now as summer
heat now fades away
Adult-like imitation plans were oddly
placed within our hands
We fought like our lives were at war
without a clue of what it may be for
The irritation we endured was part of
loneliness we inferred
As I was lost I had been found when I
tried to see who was around
Part of the tall grass that swayed in the
wind, seeing the glare of the blurry sun
All the feelings we have at a knock,
listening to our senseless talk
They come to mind endlessly
Is it an illusion we see?
As we gathered at our home base, we say
how fun our day has been
Let’s tell our tales in turn right there,
now who would like to begin?
The jet stream soars up in the sky, “It’s
dazzling” is what we cry
What did you look by at that time?
I don’t really know why I can’t see it in
my mind
Reality ran off too fast, these summer
days couldn’t always last
A common theme, but as they say the story
has to crumble, fade away
The extra innings here today are things
that adults could never play
By now we’ve come to realize that we can
do what we say
In this world that turns with its
rotation, we are all standing beneath the sun
The blazing heat said “Remember, you have
to keep your will to have some fun”
Filled with impatience that would
overflow, we would seek out what’s within tomorrow
Not going back to the world that we have
left behind, we will change it with what we know
“Remember it because it’s gone. The
adventure we all went on.
And when we were lost on that day, our
stories went away”
The children lost without a goal planned
out a route to seize control
And what they said out loud back then, “We
will see them again”
“Refreshing is the summer sky”, we said
that as the clouds flew by
Let’s breathe in deep so we won’t cry
when we say our goodbye
All gathered in our secret base, we
laughed away the weight of the haze
“Let’s meet again another time” is how we
choose to end all those summer days
