If we both
find time to just play together
Playing in
this heat that now plays here warmly
Let’s both
put on cute ears and look like kittens
And roll
round together in a playful dance
It’s too
hot as we both may huff and puff here
We both
bask in the breeze from the turning fan
As our ice
cream drips down because it’s melting
I’m still
sad because we couldn’t come up with a plan
Sleepy-eyed,
we doze off in a light breeze
On this
afternoon of our vacation
In pajamas
we laze round the house all day to
Take in
the sweet, hot smell of the summer
We don’t
need iron or minerals in our diet
We just
need some hot coffee after sleeping deeply
As we say “good
morning” here, I finally notice
That we
still wear cat-ears, we must still be sleepy
You and I
both laugh while we “Nyaa Nyaa”
Cat-ears
make me think about quantum physics
Spazzing
out for no particular reason now
“Let’s
calm down before the coffee makes us sick”
In a rush
with insufficient memory space
My head
now overflows with data input
On a scale
of 1-to-too many numbers
The
mysteries of the universe are simply moot
Is this
real, or is this all my fantasy?
The sun
beckons us into heat exhaustion
With a
smile that looks really childish to me
You gaze
at a flower without caution
Both the
ears that we both wear may suit your slim profile
Or maybe
it’s because we’re both light-headed
Even if it
may seem too unscientific
I think I’d
believe anything now if I read it
You and I
are both becoming too dizzy
If we join
our hands here as the universe swirls
With our
synergy from not being busy
We may
find that we can both move the world
There’s an
orange gap now between the clouds here
There are
rays of light that now pass to our eyes
Up above the
stars here may twinkle brightly
As their
light may shine here as a welcome surprise
When the
curtain may descend upon this summer night that we enjoy
Together
we have found some common ground,
a strange
new switch that makes everything better
We both
pressed to see what’s next, to test out what may happen afterwards
But don’t
worry, it’s not that dangerous
And if it
is, at least we’re both together
If we both
find time to just play together
Playing in
this heat that now plays here warmly
Let’s both
put on cute ears and look like kittens
And roll
round together in a playful dance
It’s too
hot as we both may huff and puff here
We both
bask in the breeze from the turning fan
As our ice
cream drips down because it’s melting
I’m still
sad because we couldn’t come up with a plan
