It seems today should have been the end
The 11th hour should have told
Of those who assent to their ascent
On divinity of brightest gold
Yet the 11th hour came and we all stood
As mundane as we had began
Those of us here have all assumed
We had done all that we can
But others may assert that the event was a fraud
And the true test is yet to come
That a grandiose event both here and abroad
A denial that I think is dumb
