The story: Both Reimu and Marisa set out from the shrine in
the general direction of the scarlet mist. Reimu briefly acknowledges that it's
been a while since they went on a job, and the two encounter Rumia in Youkai
Forest. After testing out the Spellcard system and defeating Rumia, they
continue on to Misty Lake, where Reimu rebukes Marisa for messing around by
pointlessly grazing. After finding, ridiculing, and beating Cirno, the two
notice the SDM by the lakeside. They encounter and defeat Meiling, then proceed
inside. While exploring the mansion, Marisa begins disturbing the books in
Voile, and sets them off to attack as Koakuma ambushes Reimu. After fleeing
through the library and sparking aggressive books, the two encounter Patchouli.
They then defeat her and leave, noting her off-hand comment that Sakuya likes
to mess with the dimensions of the mansion. While exploring, Marisa wonders at
how the mansion is maintained with such inefficient fairy maids, and Sakuya
enters to respond. The two quip back and forth before dueling, which ends with
Sakuya's defeat after Reimu and Marisa use their spellcards in sequence. The
duo then proceed to the Main Hall, where Remilia greets them and congratulates
them on making it there. They then proceed to duel, with Reimu berating Marisa
for taunting Remilia, and the Exterminators eventually win through timeout.
Remilia concedes defeat and ends the Scarlet Mist. Later, Remilia visits the
shrine, and after that Marisa strolls into the SDM for a visit.
A few days later, Remilia notes that a small storm appears to have formed in the direction of her mansion while she was at the shrine and concludes that Flandre must have escaped. She asks Reimu and Marisa to go handle the situation, since she cannot return to the mansion while it's raining. Reimu and Marisa enter the SDM to find it in chaos, with Patchouli attempting to handle the situation. After defeating Patchouli, the two encounter Flandre, who asks who they are. Marisa attempts to introduce herself as Reimu, but fails when Flandre recognizes her voice from the duel with Remilia. The three chat for a while about the mansion, who cooks Flandre's meals, and how Flandre wanted to visit the shrine before Flandre asks the two to play with her. The duel begins, with Flandre showing off her spellcards and asking for feedback from the two. After running out of spellcards, Marisa references the original ending to "Ten little indians", and Flandre asks about the alternate ending. Upon remembering that it involved the last person getting married, Marisa volunteers Reimu as a partner, to Reimu's indignation.
The bonus song is based on "Thank You" by Liz Triangle, and describes the main plot of Osana Reimu. Will not spoil it ^.^
